A partnership with the world of cricket
DP World has been making its presence known in India through strategic partnerships, such as the association with the Delhi Capitals franchise and as the Global Logistics Partner for IPL 2023. To announce this partnership, DP World worked with GPJ India to curate unique experiences for a formal press event for over a hundred media personnel and DP World officials.
The official announcement included the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing and the unveiling of jerseys and dressing kits featuring the DP World logo. Two remote-controlled mini trucks were skilfully navigated to the stage, delivering jerseys to DP World’s India MD, Rizwan Soomar, and Delhi Capitals CEO, Dhiraj Malhotra. At the same time, a drone smartly delivered a jersey to Delhi Capitals Head Coach Ricky Ponting.
Attendees at the press meet got to experience playing as a batsman in a stadium using a virtual reality-enabled experience. A photo booth with DP World branding helped memorialize the entire experience.
